I started looking for things to write about...I know ideas are all around me, but I still have a hard time coming up with what to actually pen.  Yesterday when I was unwrapping a piece of Dove chocolate I read the message inside the wrapper.  It said "open your eyes to all the love around you".  So here are some examples that I've noticed in the last 24 hours.

The spagetti dinner that was ready for me when I came home from work - including a bottle of bubbly wine.  (compliments of my husband)

My cocker spaniel's devotion to me!

A hug from my daughter.

A phone call from my son.

A friend's words telling me "thank you."

My grandchildren's greetings ( "Hi Mimi!")

A hug from my Mom and the same Mom telling me to "be careful".

  1. Mom --
I love this slice. Maybe I should make a list like this. Thanks for the idea.

  2. Love those unique quotes that make us think!

  3. I love this idea for a slice, (twist my arm) I might need the Dove chocolate to get inspired too! I like all the things you noticed that helped you feel the love. What a great thing to look for through your day.

  4. What gratitudes! Sometimes the simplest of things mean everything. Thanks for the reminder.

  5. Super list! And Dove chocolate...that's one of the best sources of inspiration!

  6. Love is always an inspiration - too bad we don't take advantage of it more often. I'm sure I will when I start stumbling mid-month with my slices!

  7. OK - sadly, I can relate to a fault. I use "I need a writing idea" as an excuse to eat Dove chocolates because I fell in love with their inspiration long ago! Oops! :) Your list is sweet and sincere, the emotion reads right through it. Your family is lucky!
